Four candidates have been elected unopposed to ANUSA positions for 2022. In contrast, 13 candidates were elected unopposed last year.

The positions that have been elected unopposed are:

Environment Officer — Elise Chua (on the Grassroots! ticket)

College of Arts & Social Sciences Representative — Phill Kim (on the Back on Track ticket)

Disabilities Officer — Thomas O’Donnell (ungrouped)

Queer* Officer — Vincent Li (ungrouped)

Vincent Li has been elected as the next Queer* Officer (ungrouped) and will likely remain in this position until the Department can hold its own election later in the year. This practice has been seen through various departments including Queer*, Womens, Disabilities and other autonomous departments.

We acknowledge the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people, who are the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Woroni, Woroni Radio and Woroni TV are created, edited, published, printed and distributed. We pay our respects to Elders past and present. We acknowledge that the name Woroni was taken from the Wadi Wadi Nation without permission, and we are striving to do better for future reconciliation.
