Will Roche is running as an independent for the positions of President, Undergraduate Member of the University Council, NUS delegate, and General Representative for ANUSA in 2026.

Roche promises to increase transparency and accountability in ANUSA. He plans to implement live video streaming and publicly available video recordings for every ANUSA meeting, publish reports from all meetings and conferences that Roche attends, and reformat the ANUSA website for easier access to meeting information. Roche states that he will “fight for the interests of ANU students” and demand answers to questions that ANU students have been asking.

Roche further campaigns to double the allotted funding to the clubs funding pool. He plans to consolidate the clubs grants into a smaller group of grants with wider applicability. Roche promises to commission a review into current grant allocation and club affiliation rules for easier navigation of the clubs administrative process.

Roche plans to “launch a full spending review” into all expenditures by ANUSA, including grants and other programs. He aims to reduce ANUSA’s administrative costs and redirect these costs to further funding student programs.

Roche promises to advocate for decreased parking permit fees. He plans to establish a program offering discounted parking permits to students experiencing financial hardship. Roche plans to fight for tutorial access via Zoom to be implemented across the university.

More policies are to be announced.
