ANU student Alexander Matters has been charged with a second count of sexual assault, allegedly assaulting a second woman. He appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court this morning. Matters has been formally charged with two additional acts – one count of sexual intercourse without consent and one count of committing an act of indecency without consent.

ACT Police announced that the second person “contacted ACT Policing’s Criminal Investigations … to report an alleged sexual assault by the same man” after Matter’s initial hearing.

Matters pleaded not guilty to all four charges, and will return to court on November 23.
