Our Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor are looking for a team of energetic and driven individuals that will assist with the day to day functions of Woroni.

The Woroni Business team is overseen by Ben Lawrence and Jonathan Tjandra. They work to create partnerships with other businesses, organise advertising across the ANU Student Media’s platforms, undertake market research and strategic planning, maintain social media platforms and manage the ANUSM website.

The Executive Officer will work closely with the Deputy Editor-in-Chief to:

  • Assist in the creation of publications for internal & external stakeholder communications
  • Assist in the development of new ANUSM initiatives
  • Engage in revision and planning of the organisation’s activities
  • Manage & Develop ANUSM’s strategic partnerships
  • Review existing & develop new policies which govern ANUSM’s practices

This position will be approximately 10-15 hours per week. The Administration Officer will work closely with the ANUSM Executive and the rest of the admin-management team.

The Events Sub-Editor will work closely with the Deputy Editor-in-Chief to:

  • Create ideas, organise and coordinate the fun events of Woroni. Have an idea for an event? This is your chance to make it happen!
  • Assist in organising the ANU Student Media Conference and is responsible for organising and coordinating the day’s events
  • Liaising with stakeholders and working with the Admin & Management Team and the rest of the Woroni team

This position will be approximately 10-15 hours per week.

The Social Media Sub-Editor will work closely with the Deputy Editor-in-Chief and the relevant editors to:

  • Assist to craft Woroni’s online image on Facebook and social media, and increase engagement with students
  • Coordinate with the Content Editor to feature the works produced by contributors
  • Innovate new engagement consistent with Woroni’s brand imagery online
  • Compile analytics for online engagement

This position is approximately 5-10 hours per week depending on projects undertaken.

The Photography Sub-Editors will work closely with the Deputy Editor-in-Chief to:

  • Photograph events when necessary for the ANU Community
  • Edit and watermark photos ready to be uploaded
  • Has the opportunity to create, provide and take creative photos for the Woroni magazine

In the past, Woroni Photographers have attended both formal and casual events, both on and off campus.

This position is approximately 5-10 hours per week depending on projects undertaken.
